Rhea Kapoor’s latest comedy-drama “Crew” has taken the box office by storm since its release on April 29. Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon in leading roles, the film has received widespread acclaim from audiences, combining laughter with a captivating heist storyline.
Breaking records on its opening day, “Crew” became the first women-led Bollywood movie to cross the 20 crore mark at the box office. With a stellar performance on its second day, the film continued to rake in impressive numbers, amassing a total of 21.15 crore in just two days.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported that “Crew” earned approximately 10.87 crore on its second day, following an initial collection of 10.28 crore on the first day. Benefiting from an extended weekend due to Good Friday, the movie is expected to maintain its momentum, especially on Sunday.
Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan and produced by Rhea Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Ekta Kapoor, “Crew” also features Kapil Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh in significant roles, adding to its star-studded ensemble.
Despite facing competition from Hollywood release “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” “Crew” has managed to stand out, showcasing the power of its leading ladies and their on-screen chemistry.
